While design can be described as many things - a career, a skill set, a set of tools,
a desired result - design is truly one thing alone: a perspective.
Design is how you look at the world and you change the world through combinations of
colors, shapes, textures and words.
Design communicates by what is included and what is excluded in any given piece.
For me, design is a way of life. Whether I am working on a web site, laying out a printed
piece or even helping someone capture their memories, the driving force is its design. Design
is not just the pictures on the page or the words being shared, but how they are combined to
communicate more than a single phrase or image can on their own.
Through all of my experiences in both my professional and personal life, as I look back, I
see design. And as I look forward, I see a way to change the world through design.
